Soon, every solar quote will be read by an LLM before a person ever reviews it. We built the industry's first agent to do that. Next: emails written and sent by AI, a market monitor running 24/7 on price trends, and agents that help negotiate contracts, track project timelines, watch post-install performance, and file claims when a system underperforms.

It evaluates whether a quote is fair, competitive, and free of common financial traps such as inflated pricing, misleading discounts, unnecessary add-ons, or unfavorable financing terms.
In addition to detailed analysis, AgentSolar provides expert negotiation support to help you secure better pricing and contract terms—something a general AI chatbot cannot offer.

Is AgentSolar AI affiliated with any solar installers or service providers?

Accepted Answer

No. AgentSolar is not owned by or affiliated with any solar installer, manufacturer, or financing provider.

Installers can upgrade from free to a higher-tier subscription to use our SaaS tools and services. We earn a commission when a homeowner accepts a quote that came through a request we sent. Paying for a subscription or a commission doesn't change how a company is researched or presented to you.

That said, AgentSolar maintains working relationships with a broad range of solar service providers to stay informed on market conditions, pricing trends, and equipment availability. With user consent, our agents may engage with installers and suppliers to negotiate pricing, source equipment, or assemble competitive deal options—always with the goal of securing the best outcome for the user.

How many solar quotes are in your database, and where do they come from?

AgentSolar AI aggregates data from a wide range of publicly available and homeowner-provided sources. This includes government and utility records such as permitting and interconnection filings—which are public but highly fragmented—as well as publicly shared discussions and experiences from online forums like Reddit, publicly indexed web sources, and direct homeowner quote submissions.

We hold more than 1,000,000 solar quotes. Over 500,000 are already published and searchable in our Solar Price Database, and the rest are still being processed and validated before publication. The database grows by 10,000–20,000 new quotes every month.

The published quotes are free to search by location, system size, and equipment — no account required.

How does AgentSolar help me negotiate a better solar deal as a buyer’s agent?

First, AgentSolar analyzes your quote to evaluate pricing, identify potential overcharges, and provide recommendations, including a target price. This target represents an aggressive benchmark based on market data—it may not always be achievable, but it serves as a reference point for negotiation. Any savings achieved can still represent meaningful value.

If you choose to have AgentSolar negotiate on your behalf, you agree to specific terms to engage us as your buyer’s agent. Our AI agents, supervised by human experts, will then communicate with the installer you approve to seek improved pricing, alternative configurations, or better contract terms.

You remain in full control throughout the process and decide whether to accept or decline any negotiated offer.

We would love to make AI quote analysis free for everyone. However, delivering accurate, solar-specific analysis requires real computational resources and expert oversight.

New accounts start with 6 credits and a quote analysis costs 2, so your first 3 analyses are free — enough to check every quote you have collected. After that, credits start at $2.49 each. Charging a small fee helps us reduce spam and unserious submissions, allowing us to focus on providing high-quality, meaningful analysis for users who are genuinely evaluating a solar decision.

Considering the potential cost of unfavorable terms, hidden fees, or financial traps in a solar contract, we believe a small credit fee is a worthwhile investment toward making a confident, informed decision.

Is my quote information kept private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your information is kept private and is never shared without your explicit consent. AgentSolar does not use your data for unsolicited marketing.

With your permission, your non-personal quote details may be used when we represent you in discussions with service providers to help negotiate better pricing or terms. In addition, anonymized and aggregated data may be used internally for analytics to improve our services and market insights.
