About us

AgentSolar AI is an AI-powered platform aiming to cut the soft costs of solar installation by 90%. Using agentic AI and data, we help homeowners find the right solar installer at the right price, and help them compare, understand, and negotiate solar quotes.

We’ve already built a working product: over 1 million solar quotes in our database, an AI extraction and pricing engine, a community solar price board, and an installer database. We’re now looking for a CTO to take ownership of the codebase and build the next round of features.

The role

We’re seeking a full-time or part-time CTO to own the technical strategy and architecture alongside the founders.

This is an equity-based role to start. We’re raising our next round, and the intent is to convert this into a full-time salaried position once we close funding. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow into the long-term technical leader of the company, not just advise from the sidelines.

What you’ll do

Own the technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap
Build and ship new features
Lead and improve our existing stack (Next.js, React, Firebase/Firestore, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions)
Partner with the founders on product development and fundraising, including technical due diligence and investor conversations

What we’re looking for

Familiarity with frontier AI tools, concepts, and building AI products
You’ve built something cool and shipped it
Full-stack depth (TypeScript/React/Node) and comfort with cloud infra (Firebase/GCP a plus)
Startup mindset: pragmatic, ships fast, comfortable with ambiguity and wearing many hats
Genuine excitement about clean energy and marketplace products
Available part-time now, can commit at least 20+ hours/week, with the ability and desire to go full-time post-raise
